Conclusion: " The majority of stamp collectors have traditionally pursued the hobby outside formal associations – just as I did in my youth together with my friends. Today, this independent community of collectors is visible on online marketplaces and social media platforms. What has changed is that associations are now striving to attract these collectors as members in order to secure their own continuity. However, the normative, tradition oriented culture of these organizations is unlikely to resonate with this group. Likewise, initiatives such as school-based programs or other renewal experiments are unlikely to reverse the trend — partly due to limited resources and partly because of the aforementioned cultural gap.
