Deserted frames

The title means "abandoned exhibition frames", which F.I.P. philatelist Colin Fraser noted in his column (Flash Sept 2020), referring to the number of visitors to philatelic exhibitions. Between the rows of exhibition frames, there is little or no interested audience. And when are these exhibition walls supposed to be the glory of the philatelic hobby? A national exhibition to be the annual climax? I remember a recently deceased philatelist expressing his concern about how important it would be to get the general public interested in the exhibition items. I remember going to Tampere hall to see the Finlandia 2017 philatelic exhibition. The actual exhibition hall felt quite eerily quiet. It has been almost the same general experience at every event since then. For example. Tavastex 2022, Riihex 2023.
